# TIA Insurance Developer

A TIA Oracle Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining and optimizing database solutions within the TIA (The Insurance Application) platform.

The role focuses on designing efficient Oracle database structures, developing PL/SQL functionality and supporting business processes within the insurance environment.

You will work closely with Product Owners, business analysts and other IT teams to translate functional requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions within TIA.

# Core responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Oracle database components within TIA.

- Write and optimize PL/SQL code, including packages, procedures and triggers.

- Analyse and resolve database-performance issues.

- Support data migrations, for example from legacy systems to TIA.

- Design data models that support insurance products, including policies, non-life products and premiums.

- Carry out impact analyses when data or processes change.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines.

- Support test processes, including unit testing, SIT and UAT.

- Monitor data quality and integrity.

# Required skills

Technical

- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database.

- Extensive experience with PL/SQL.

- Knowledge of SQL tuning and performance optimization.

- Experience with data integrations, such as APIs and ETL processes.

- Familiarity with version control, including Git and Azure DevOps.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

- Openness to AI applications and applying them to everyday work.

# TIA-specific knowledge

- Knowledge of the TIA platform (Sapiens).

- Understanding of TIA data structures and configurations.

- Experience with policies, claims and billing processes within TIA.

# Domain knowledge — an advantage

- Familiarity with insurance products, including non-life and life insurance.

- Basic knowledge of:

- Premium calculations.

- Claims handling.

- Policy administration.

- Understanding of compliance requirements, such as Wft and GDPR.

# Typical work in practice

- Implementing a new product configuration in TIA, including the required database modifications.

- Optimizing slow batch processes, such as renewal or premium runs.

- Supporting a data migration to TIA Retail.

- Resolving production issues related to data consistency.

- Creating queries for reports or audits, including FEC checks.
